Project Update : December 2020

The Sheerness Dockyard Trust has commissioned filmmaker Tom Lonsdale to document restoration work at Dockyard Church as it progresses.

This first film features interviews with the construction team including local apprentice Tom.

This updated gallery shows images prior to Christmas 2020. They show decorative tiles from the flooring in the aisle recovered and stored; one of the original fireplaces and timber flooring in one of the two small rooms at the west end of the building; part of the iron grilles which covered heating system that ran the length of the church; and the stone base (possibly of the Victorian) font.
